"The stockings were hung on either side of the fireplace where a Yule log burned and crackled merrily, casting it's warmth upon the room and the small family of merry makers. Everyone was in a happy and festive spirit as the gift giving was about to begin. The children fairly bubbled with anticipation. A couple caught under the mistletoe made the obligatory kiss with blushing cheeks, while the dessert table was fair swamped with people coming and going.
